The Forms2Net toolATX Software developed Forms2Net having in mind the need to:Minimize time, cost and risk of the migration process Facilitate the maintenance of the application by development teams already in place Preserve the semantics (functionality) of the original system Scope of Forms2NetForms2Net works at the application level. Users choose what transformations they want regarding the database layer: whether to continue using an Oracle database or migrate to SQL Server. The connectivity with the data layer is based on Data Access Components on top of Microsoft ADO.NET technology that allows the customer to work with different database providers in an independent way.Migration of database schema and of the data itself is not targeted by Forms2Net. Other complementary solutions are available on the market, namely Microsoft SQL Server Migration Assistant. The resulting code is C# for .NET Windows Forms. Check out future features on the tool:Current features on Forms2Net 1.1:Add-in to Microsoft Visual Studio Support for Oracle Forms 4.5, 5.0 and 6i Generates C# code Generates Windows Forms Applications Features on Forms2Net 2.0:Support for Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 ASP.NET code generation Enhanced conversion for Windows Forms New Migration Report feature Evaluating the migration effortTypically, more than 75% of the final code is automatically migrated by the Forms2Net tool – the exact value depends on the complexity and structure of the original application. The Forms2Net Analyzer is an auxiliary tool that browses the original application and produces a report on the time and effort involved in the migration process.Online help supports the manual conversion process, explaining each specific situation and displaying a list of possible options for code completion.Mind the gap!All migration techniques have to address the semantic gap that separates the original from the target environment. Contrary to typical conversion methods that simply try to map, on a 1:1 basis, syntactic constructs between programming languages, the power of Forms2Net resides in a sophisticated reengineering approach where it is also code structures and not merely language constructs that are transformed to the desired target. This approach provides the following advantages:The percentage of the converted code is greater than the 1:1 mapping approach and of significantly higher quality because: The code is transformed to a completely new architecture that follows .NET best practices It does not maintain the Oracle style of code structures The migration works at the semantic level by recognizing Oracle code patterns and transforming them into the .NET code patterns. It is a .NET development enabler in the sense that produces or uses developed components that are seamlessly integrated with the Microsoft Visual Studio .NET environment Development teams can fine-tune and evolve the migrated application using all the functionalities of Visual Studio .NET, for instance editing generated GUI components. The gap between the original application structure and the new .NET application depends on the choice for the target user interface technology. The migration to .NET Windows Forms is much more efficient than migrating to .NET Web Forms because Oracle Forms structure concept is closer to Windows Forms concepts than to Web Forms, enhancing transformation mapping between the application units.لتحميل البرنامج لابد من التسجيل اولاًاضغط هناموقع الشركةhttp://forms2net.atxsoftware.com/site/welcome.do اقتباس رابط هذا التعليق شارك المزيد من خيارات المشاركة
